VIP: Phoenix is a friendly dog who is about 4 years of age. She is such a pretty dog and is so playful too! Phoenix went on a group dog walk recently and the volunteers said she was a very sweet girl. She was very excited to get out of her kennel but settled down once ready to get ready for the ride. She loaded in and out of the truck on her own and enjoyed her relaxing car ride. Phoenix is very chill and is not overly affectionate. She walks well on leash and got along well with all dogs in group. She is a nice chill dog who does like her back scratches! Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
