Phoenix Australian Shepherd & Husky Mix Sawyer, ND

Phoenix is a dog we have had in rescue for over a year. He was the victim of the DAPL protest and then a run in with porcupines while fending for himself. He has had multiple surgeries removing over 200 infected quills and 3 were in his eye requiring removal. He came to rescue feral and we have made great progress with him. He will however always be special needs. He is shy in new situations and doesn't even like the furniture in the house moved :) He needs a family that is chill and stable. We did have him doing well and then he was adopted only to have a very difficult time adjusting and then to be attacked by another dog in the home who is also anxious. We brought him back into rescue and took him into adoption hold for several months while we watched him grow and even make a best friend at rescue, another quirky dog named Easy. Our goal is to get them into a home together (you can see his adoption listing) as they do really well together and understand eachother. We will be looking for the perfect home for them.

All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. A fenced yard is required. Breeds cannot be guaranteed.
