Phoebe's Story

Only vibes here! Phoebe is a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Phoebe is a puppy mill rescue and she is discovering all the wonderful things that life has for her. Things like naps in the sun, getting her hair brushed, going shopping with her fosters, snuggling on the couch, and having her morning Greenie with her foster brother.

She's picked up potty training very well and her foster is introducing the leash and concept of walks. She's not a huge fan yet so she requires a fenced yard. Phoebe is also crate trained and likes her crate when she gets overwhelmed with houseguests. She will sleep through the night in her cozy crate, but she definitely prefers to sleep in bed with her people. Her foster currently leaves her alone for short periods of time and she's done very well with the freedom. She's good with other dogs but at first she doesn't love sharing. This is common for newly rescued dogs and her foster worked with Phoebe and her resident dog. Now, she happily shares lap space! If given time to settle and remember that her people can love more than one dog, she would absolutely thrive with a sibling or two!

She has not met cats yet but her demeanor suggests she would be fine with them. She has been toddler tested and while she was gentle and friendly, she may prefer older kiddos in her forever home with a little less energy and noise - can you blame her???

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
