Phoebe's Story

Phoebe is the sweetest, most sociable girl! She can never get enough loving! After being left behind in a move, Phoebe is getting comfortable in foster care with a doodle pup, cats and children! She can be a bit bouncy with excitement so Phoebe is working on maintaining all four on the floor!

Floppy, stuffed toys are tons of fun and running the yard with her canine companion is great! The dog saavy cats in the home are trying to teach Phoebe boundaries and what's acceptable behavior. Phoebe is a bit too interested in the 8 week old foster kittens in the home and tends to chase the cats when provided the opportunity, so she has to be reminded to give them a break. She may stress out cats too much in a forever home!

While the crate isn't her favorite, Phoebe will tolerate it when necessary. With the exception of one counter surfing incident that ended with nearly a whole tray of cookies being knocked to the floor and eaten by her and her accomplice, Phoebe is respectful of the home when left alone. Neither Phoebe or her accomplice confessed, BUT when Phoebe put herself in her crate after the cookie incident, it was quite clear she made a bad decision!

Phoebe isn't a very high energy dog, but she does have her daily spurts of boxer goofiness and would benefit from more work on a leash. She is improving on leash walks with the use of a gentle leader and taking to learning the basics of being a wonderful family addition!

Phoebe is being fostered in Tallahassee, FL.
