PHANTOM OPERA's Story

Meet Phantom—a beefy goofball with giant ears, endless enthusiasm, and a PhD in having fun. He rides well in a car and would love to be your travel buddy.

This strong, silly boy is always ready for an adventure. Phantom loves chasing balls (especially when you use the deluxe two-ball system to keep the game going), splashing around in the pool to cool off, and investigating every single bush like it contains important neighborhood secrets. Seriously, no shrub goes unexplored on Phantom’s watch.

He’s a powerful puller on leash, but volunteers say he’s also an absolute blast to walk. A harness seems to help this big guy channel his excitement a little better while he happily sniffs, explores, rolls around in the grass to scratch his back, and generally enjoys life to the fullest.

Phantom is more toy-motivated than food-motivated and loves to play. He’s also been working on “sit,” and while training sessions are fun, it’s hard not to get distracted by those adorable ears and goofy personality.

Underneath all the zoomies and silliness is a sweet dog who’s starting to feel the stress of shelter life. What Phantom really needs is a home where he can stretch his legs, play hard, nap harder, and be someone’s beloved adventure buddy.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, larger-than-life companion with personality for days, Phantom is ready to burst into your life.

Phantom has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video here:

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
