Petunia's Story

Petunia is looking for a home!

"Hello! My name is Petunia, and I’m available for adoption! I'm very a very sweet and happy girl once I get to know you, but can be nervous at first. I warmed up quickly to the shelter staff here. I’m active, playful, and love to play with heavy duty dog toys. I’m learning my obedience skills like a pro with the help of tasty treats.”

• Age: Young Adult (1-3yrs)
• Gender: female/spayed
• Size: Large (60lbs aprox)
• Color/Coat: tan and white, short

Ideal Home: Petunia would do well with a family who loves long walks and toy time. Within a day of arrival to the shelter she was attention seeking with staff, a true cuddle bug! She needs a family willing and able to continue with consistent training; she has shown great improvement with obedience and leash work, but is still learning. A home with no small children would suit her best.
Petunia was found as a stray, we are unsure of her history. She has not been tested with other dogs or cats.

Adoption Fee: $200, tax included. Petunia is spayed, up-to-date with vaccines, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed.

How to Adopt Me: If you think you could provide me with my perfect home, please fill out an application, https://www.uxbridge.ca/en/living-here/adoptions.aspx, applications can be emailed to pound@uxbridge-scugog-animal-shelter.ca

Contact Information: For more information please contact the Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter at 905-985-9547 or come in and speak with staff at 1360 Reach St, Port Perry, ON L9L 0C2
