Petey

Meet Petey. He's just... Petey. 🖤🤍

Not in a hurry. Not checking his calendar. Petey operates on Petey Standard Time, and his priorities are simple: good company, a comfortable spot, and as little chaos as possible.

He's a good hang-around buddy who gets along well with other calm dogs. Cats, however, get his attention in a very different way. He will focus on chasing them, so he needs a home where he won't share space with cats.

Petey returned to the shelter after his owner's living situation changed. On a leash, Petey is less "leisurely stroll" and more "bulldozer with somewhere to be." He pulls strongly and needs someone who can safely manage him while working on polite leash walking. His recall also needs practice...he may hear your invitation, but he hasn't necessarily accepted it yet. 😂

Petey is looking for someone who appreciates his easygoing company and will patiently help him with the skills he's still learning.

Come meet him. He may be on his own time, but he's spent enough of it waiting for a home.
