Peter's Story

Peter and his brother were released from a puppy mill breeder. They escaped a terrible life. Peter is a bit timid to start but warms up pretty quickly for a mill puppy. If he feels safe and loved he will blossom with his family in a permanent home. . Like most mill dogs he was not socialized, cuddled and handled like puppies his age would normally would, He understands dogs better than people. In foster care, he has learned that people can be pretty nice and cuddles are pretty awesome! He will do well with another gentle companion dog or as a single dog.

Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training.

Peter is fully vetted, He has been neutered, has received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption donation is $600.00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in 100% for better or for worse!

IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY. PUPPIES NEED TO BE LET OUT TO POTTY OFTEN, THEY NEED SOCIALIZATION AND BONDING AND NEED TRAINING (HOUSETRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING). IF YOU WORK LONG HOURS, HAVE A BUSY SOCIAL SCHEDULE OR NOT FINANCIALLY SECURE THEN A PUPPY IS NOT FOR YOU.

We adopt in the local Chicago metro area.
