Meet Peter Cottontail 🐾<br/><br/>Peter Cottontail is a sweet, 2 year old Maltese/ Bichon mix with a gentle soul who is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. He is very cautious around new people, but with a little patience and reassurance, his true personality starts to shine.<br/><br/>Dogs are Peter’s comfort zone. He absolutely loves other dogs of all sizes and gains confidence when he’s around them. With canine companions, he’s playful, happy, and much more outgoing. Because of this, Peter would thrive in a home with at least one friendly, confident dog to help guide him.<br/><br/>In the car, Peter has done well. He prefers riding loose or in a seat rather than being crated. Crates make him anxious, and he tends to whine when confined, but he settles nicely when given a bit more freedom.<br/><br/>Potty training is coming along. He’s good about going outside when taken out, but new environments are a little scary. He’s continuing to improve with routine and consistency.<br/><br/>Peter would do best in a calm, patient home—ideally without small children—where his adopters understand that confidence takes time.
