Pete is an adorable Shih Tzu mix who loves being around people and other dogs. He has settled well into the Shelter and has been friendly to everyone he has met.<br/>Pete can be a little nervous when picked up but is getting better with daily handling. Pete may do best with older children or teens who can respect his space. <br/>We do not know how he is with cats. <br/>Pete may need some work on his house training, but with a regular schedule he should pick it up quickly.<br/>Pete has been playing well with other small dogs here at the Shelter and has shown very mild resource guarding over toys. <br/>If you are looking for a sweet friendly little munchkin and want to meet Pete please give us a call at 413-676-9182.

Franklin County Sheriffs Office Regional Shelter's Adoption Policy
If you see a dog that you would like to meet, we ask that you come into the Shelter and meet the dog(s). After meeting the dog(s) we will have you complete an adoption application. We check all references and we then try to match the dog to the best home for the dog. First application in does not always get to adopt the dog if it is not a good match. Our goal is to match the dogs to the very best home for the dog(s). We do require that your current pets be current on vaccines, and that your dogs be on monthly heartworm prevention. Our adoption fee is $200.00 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, checked for the tick borne diseases and started on heartworm and flea & tick prevention.
