Petal's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to Petal's participation in a special program, she must be adopted to the Orlando area only. This is not negotiable and we thank you for your understanding.

Meet Petal! Petal is a 3 month old female Shih Tzu mix puppy and she weighs about 4 pounds, but she could grow up to weigh over 10 pounds. With her mix, it’s hard to say! She arrived in rescue after being surrendered as part of an accidental litter. She has been in a loving foster home since she was 5 weeks old and has been thriving. She is an active puppy that will need a family up for all things puppyhood brings - leash training, house training, socialization and learning that flip flops are for feet, not food. She will need a family that will understand this, as well as their grooming needs. Her foster mom says: Petal is a tiny bundle of sweetness with a playful little spark! This Shih Tzu mix is equal parts cuddle bug and bouncy ball of fun. When she gets excited, Petal has the cutest habit of hopping around like a little bunny, turning playtime into her own adorable show. She absolutely loves snuggling up close and will happily melt into your arms or curl up beside you for some quality cuddle time. And after she’s done playing? Petal is a professional napper, always ready to recharge before her next round of fun.

Petal is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heart worm prevention and microchipped.

Petal is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $525. If you are interested in applying to adopt Petal, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
