Meet Persephone
Persephone is a VERY sweet & loving girl. She is housebroken, mostly crate trained, not destructive & AMAZING with other dogs. Persephone was born feral & had a long road to building trust in humans. She is still pretty shy with strangers & does not like large crowds. She will require PATIENCE. She will hide about the first 2 days, only coming out on her own if everything is quiet. Her decompression time has been 5-7 days. She is a quiet, playful girl that LOVES treats, toys, belly rubs & head scratches. She is still nervous on the leash & will 'hug' your leg while walking. She is seeking your comfort. Once she is comfortable, she is quickly a normal dog. She comes when called, is quiet & stays out of the way but more than happy to cuddle with her people. She has been off leash hiking & playing without containment once comfortable with her person. She loves a midnight snack!
Persephone would do best with a fenced yard since she is a homebody for the most part but would also enjoy occasional trips to the dog park & quiet nature hikes. She would love a brother or sister around her age to play with, too. Persephone has never shown any aggression except biting a leash when not comforted & overwhelmed. In other words, be patient with her on a leash. It is still scary to her sometimes. Don't drag her by her neck. Please contact Celina for more information at 615-354-3531
