Perrier's Story

Hi! We are Perrier (male) and Evian (female), a bonded pair of young boxers. We've had a challenging few months on our own, but luckily ABR rescued us from the Liberty Hill area and we are ready for our forever home. We are young, about 2 – 4 years old, and dog friendly, smart, and playful. We love to entertain each other and will spend the day keeping each other company. We are crate trained, house trained and both motivated by treats. We both love people and are very affectionate. I (Evian) respond to simple commands like “come”, “paw” and “sit”; Perrier is a little reluctant to follow my lead but is obviously trainable. We are very food and treat motivated! We do not live with a cat in our foster home, so it is unknown if we are cat friendly. At night we sleep in our dog beds close to our humans, or in our open crate. We are both good on a leash for short walks, but need training for longer walks or hikes. When outside we have good behavior and quick recall. I (Evian) may attempt to dig if I see a little frog or interesting creature, but once you tell me “No”, I stop immediately. We do not attempt to jump fences when in our backyard. We like to be close to our humans, and often catch a nap while they are working from home. It's unknown how we are with small children, but are just fine with teenagers. We are curious about almost everything we can find in a home, but most of all love affection, particularly Evian. Some of our favorite things are wrestling together, cuddling and napping, food and treats, toys, and meeting other dogs. We love to get attention from our humans and their guests. We would make an excellent addition to almost any home that loves boxers. Presently they are located in the Austin area and would be available for a meet and greet with a family interested in adoption.

If you're interested in fostering a dog, please fill out the Foster Application

https://austinboxerrescue.com/ways-to-help/foster/

If you're interested in adopting, please fill out the Adoption Application

http://austinboxerrescue.com/adoption-application/

Our volunteers will work with you to find the best dog for your home.
