PERLA - loves kids

Meet PERLA!<br/><br/>***Perla is being fostered in Dundalk, MD and is ready for meet and greets!***<br/><br/>Perla is estimated to be 4 months old and weighs about 24 lbs as of August 8, 2026. We don't know her breed because we do not know her parents but we think she's a Lab/Shepherd mix. She is a beautiful dog with the cutest brown eye patch! <br/><br/>Perla is a gal who has so many wonderful qualities! Her foster mom raves about her!<br/><br/>She is excellent with children! She loves them. She is currently in a foster home with a 9-year-old girl, and in her previous home she was with 3 young children and has been absolutely wonderful with them all! She warmed up quickly with them and was soon giving them gentle little kisses. <br/><br/>She is also super friendly with everyone she meets. When new people come into the home she is curious and sweet. She loves human company and likes to cuddle and be pet! Her foster thinks the most special thing about her is how much she loves to be loved! She really enjoys human company and cuddles. She is a 10/10 dog and would make a wonderful family addition!<br/><br/>She is a typical puppy with happy puppy energy. She loves her rope toy and loves to play tug of war with other dogs.<br/><br/>Perla has a good balance of energy despite being a puppy. She can settle down and amuse herself with her chew toys without issue. She loves to play with other dogs but also understands social cues well and is happy entertaining herself if the other pups aren't in the playing mood at that moment.<br/><br/>Perla sleeps excellently throughout the night. Her foster has tried several different set ups: free roam, enclosed in bedroom with a dog bed and in crate and she is great with all of them. She sleeps well in her crate without an issue - she voluntarily goes in. She is a sound sleeper.<br/><br/>Perla loves the simple things in life like sunbathing in the backyard with her pup pals, lying on the couch snuggling and watching a movie or having the zoomies and running around with toys.<br/><br/>She is also very well behaved and doesn't destroy things when left alone, nor whine or bark which is pretty incredible for a dog of her age!<br/><br/>Her foster notes that she a perfect balance of cautious and curious which keeps her very even keeled!<br/><br/>House-training wise, she is doing GREAT! <br/><br/>Perla is a very special dog and we can't wait to find her an amazing forever family!<br/><br/>Please feel free to email us with any questions about her!
