While she can be anxious when left alone, especially in a crate, her true personality shines when she's with her humans—affectionate, attentive, and eager to please. She leans in for scratches, gazes into your eyes for guidance, and is constantly looking to her person for direction and approval. Her devotion is truly special.<br/><br/>Periwinkle loves meeting new people and is friendly with strangers, but she can be more selective with other dogs. She does best with slow, thoughtful introductions, especially without food present, and she is not a fan of encountering other dogs while on walks. Because of this, she would be happiest in a home where she can be the main focus or with very carefully managed canine interactions.<br/><br/>Her ideal home would be with an experienced giant breed owner who understands how to support a dog with anxiety and can provide structure, patience, and consistency. She does not require a fenced yard, but she does need a family committed to helping her feel safe and secure. A home with older children is recommended due to her size and sensitivity.<br/><br/>Periwinkle will flourish with someone who can be her steady anchor—offering guidance, companionship, and lots of love. In return, she'll give you unwavering loyalty and a heart full of affection. <br/><br/>Until the profile is removed from the public's view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. All approved applications are good for 12 months. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization.<br/><br/><br/> Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters.<br/> Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate.
