Pepper, catahoula mix, Eunice Louisiana. She is 45 pounds and a ball of energy, loves the water and to play ball. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative. This young lady at 3 is in a foster home, but she needs her own home. She needs a job to do. As you know, Catahoulas are naturally independent working dogs. They're protective, territorial and suspicious of unfamiliar people and situations. Their brain will outdo you any day of the week! They can open doors, climb fences and chase all the varmints away for sure! Blackjack Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please go to www.blackjackrescue.org and fill out an application under adopt menu. We have dogs placed in foster homes in many states including Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Connecticut. Our adoption fee helps to cover the costs associated with rescuing and vetting. Once your application is received, we will check references and call you to schedule a meet & greet or home visit. Depending on your location, the home visit may need to be completed by a rescue organization that is local to you. Once approved to adopt, pickup or third-party transport will be arranged for your new family member. It is our preference that you are able to personally meet the dog prior to adopting. We do not have a physical structure, but we have dedicated foster homes in many states. Please have your application completed in order to schedule the home visit or meet and greet.
