Pepper's Story

Pepper is a 5-year-old Pointer mix who found his way to us through no fault of his own. He is a sweet, playful boy who truly enjoys being around people and is always happy to have someone to spend time with. Pepper loves attention, playtime and being included in whatever is going on around him. He is neutered, microchipped and is currently working on getting caught up on his vaccines. We’re still getting to know him, but so far Pepper has been a very happy, people-loving guy who is sure to make somebody very lucky. Bellwether Harbor's Adoption Policy

Bellwether Harbor does not do same day adoptions. Please keep in mind multiple visits to the shelter may be required. This number is determined various factors including the potential adopter’s experience and the training level/potential behavior issues of the animal. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please fill out an application on the shelter website. After the application has been received, the Adoption Coordinator will conduct a landlord check and vet check (where applicable). If approved, applicants are contacted for a phone interview, after which an appointment may be set up to meet the animal. Please note: Applying for an animal does not guarantee adoption of said animal. Adoptions are approved based on a variety of factors. We do our best to match animals with the best homes, not the first homes. It is possible that adoption of a specific animal will be denied even if the application is approved.
