Pepita's Story

Meet Pepita! Part chihuahua, part Velcro dog, part tiny potato...Pepita truly has it all.

At 7 years old and just 8 pounds, Pepita is the perfect little companion. She's potty trained, mostly crate trained, and a professional cuddler. Her favorite place in the world is in your arms...or tucked into a cozy bag so she can go wherever you go. If being held isn't an option, she's happy soaking up sunshine like a baked potato or burrowing under a blanket for maximum coziness.

Pepita has done well meeting other dogs and kids, and her gentle, snuggly nature makes her an easy little addition to the right home. How she does with cats is unknown, but she has been know to try to chase down a bird or two.

She does have a bit of a bougie side: this girl strongly prefers wet food (and honestly, who can blame her?). It may also be due to her dental health, as Pepita will need a spay, dental work, and removal of some mammary masses, all of which will be covered by the rescue. She's already proven she's a tough cookie and handled her vet visit like a champ, even when she wasn't feeling her best.

Pepita is looking for a forever home that will cherish her, spoil her, and treat her like the tiny queen she is.

If you are interested in Pepita, click Apply for Adoption!
