Pepe's Story

Little 12-year-old Pepe was initially entrusted to our care temporarily after his mom went to a rehabilitation center following surgery. Sadly, her recovery didn't go as planned, and she was no longer able to live independently. Since becoming a Frosted Face in March, Pepe has been loved by two wonderful foster families, who have helped us learn so much about his personality and what kind of home will help him thrive.

And the verdict? Pepe is an affectionate, easygoing little companion who simply wants to be by your side.

Pepe is a perfect lap dog who loves being held, cuddled, and showered with kisses. He enjoys cozy naps on the couch, sleeping in bed with his foster parents, sunbathing, and leisurely neighborhood walks. His tail is almost always wagging!

He's also the ultimate little sidekick. Whether you're working from home, doing housework, gardening, relaxing by the pool, or heading out for an adventure, Pepe is happy just to be included. His foster family takes him everywhere - from breakfast outings and trips to the park to camping and visits with friends and family. He's also perfectly content to snooze while his foster parents are at work, then happily perks up for mealtime and his favorite watermelon treats.

Pepe is friendly and trusting and will happily let anyone hold him or give him affection. He responds well to his name and comes when called. He has even enjoyed bath time and lounging in the pool with his foster mom!

Pepe lived with another small dog for many years and could be happy as your one-and-only or with a respectful canine companion. He has also done wonderfully with children, including energetic 4- and 6-year-olds who visited his first foster home.

Because Pepe has no teeth, he eats FreshPet in his foster home, but any soft food would be fine. He prefers eating from a flat plate in a quiet space where he can enjoy his meal on his own. He is also continuing to work on his bedtime manners.

After everything he has been through, our biggest wish for Pepe is a loving, patient forever family who will give him the security, affection, and time he needs to settle in and feel at home.

If you're looking for a devoted little companion who will happily follow you through your day, curl up beside you for a nap, and make you smile with his endlessly wagging tail, Pepe may be the one for you!

To meet Pepe, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
