Penny and Pearl's Story

Pearl and Penny arrived at the shelter after their person was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Pearl is a 12 lb., fourteen-year-old miniature poodle and Penny is a 26 lb., five-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Both girls are spayed and up to date on their shots. While you might think that fourteen-year-old Pearl would just be looking for a soft place to land, she actually enjoys toddling around in the fenced yard and is also enthusiastic about her walks with volunteers. Five-year-old Penny, who needs to shed some pounds, looks a bit like a velveteen watermelon, but has the most adoring eyes. She sits at your feet and studies your face as if you’re her one-and-only true love in this whole wide world. Her devotion is priceless. If she thinks you might be getting ready to take her on an adventure, she squeaks like a stuffed toy and tap dances at the end of her leash. It seems so unfair that these two little lovelies should be spending their days in a noisy, cinder block dog kennel through no fault of their own. Both girls were recently groomed and will melt your heart if you dare to let them. Have room for two small souls who will make it their job to bless and “be with you” in a big way? If so, please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, by calling 814-918-2032, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org (kennel license #8704).
