Penny's Story

Meet Penny, a beautiful 1-year-and-5-month-old American Pitbull Mix with a big heart, a curious look, and the sweetest floppy ears you have ever seen. This large girl is full of personality and is ready to find a loving family to call her own.
Penny is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when shes close to her people. She loves giving kisses, soaking up belly rubs, ear scratches, and head pats, and following her favorite humans from room to room. While she may be a little shy when meeting new people, her friendly nature shines through once she feels comfortable. Penny gets along well with dogs, does well with cats, and is comfortable around children, especially kids ages 6 to 12.
This playful girl would thrive in an active home with a big yard where she can run, play fetch, enjoy zoomies, and explore the outdoors. Tennis balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, chew toys, and sticks are some of her favorites. She also enjoys walks, tug-of-war, training games, and tasty rewards like hot dogs and soft training treats. After a fun day, Penny loves curling up in a cozy pet bed, soft blankets, or even beside her favorite person.
Penny is crate trained, rides well in the car, can be left alone comfortably, and is quick to learn with positive encouragement. Her vaccinations are up to date, and shell need regular brushing, nail trims, daily exercise, and plenty of human interaction to keep her happy and healthy.
We know Penny has so much love to give, and we cant wait for the right family to discover what a wonderful companion she is. Come meet Penny and see if shes the missing piece your family has been looking for.
For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption.
