Well, technically, we are re-introducing her as you might recognize her from last year. Penny came in with her sister, Lucy, after their owner died in July 2025. After several months of getting both girls’ medical needs assessed and adjusting their medication, they were both adopted.

Unfortunately, Penny has had to come back to us through no fault of her own. Penny is the sweetest old gal you will ever meet. She loves all people, dogs and belly rubs of course! She is mostly pee pad trained, but will also sometimes go outside to do her business. Penny has been diagnosed with both heart disease and Cushing’s disease, but both are maintained wonderfully on her current medication.

Penny is getting up there in age, but you would never know it when you meet her! She gets very excited and bounces around like a puppy when her foster family comes home. She even gets the Zoomies! She’s pretty independent and would be happy to sleep in the big bed with you or on her own bed if she feels so inclined. She is really good in the car, on the leash and really just an overall happy girl.

Penny has had a lot of changes in the last year and we really want to find the perfect home for her retirement years to come. Because of all the changes she has gone through her foster mom thinks she would do best in a home where you work from home, or can take her with them when they will be gone more than a couple of hours. Our rescue will even provide both medications at no cost of the adopter for the remainder of Penny’s life.

If you would like to set up a meet and greet with Penny, please submit an adoption application or email Foster Mom at the above email address.

**Local adoption is preferred but not required.
