Meet Penny
Penny
7 year old female Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie mix
Penny is a mature lass who knows just what she wants in life. Being a little bit older and out of the puppy stage she has bursts of energy but does tend to take her time and lounge around in comfy spots whenever possible. She can be a bit cranky from time to time so we are looking for a home with no children and no other pets so she can enjoy her space and enjoy that extra attention as an only dog. Her dream home would be full of people to shower her with attention and cuddle with her. She would also love a home that enjoys to get out on walks regularly. Once she is settled into her home and family and when this pesky covid isn’t a problem she is very friendly and loves when company comes around to give her extra attention. Penny does guard her food from people and other animals so would also like a family who has some experience dealing with resource guarding and is comfortable continuing with training to help her overcome her anxieties and protectiveness around those high value items.
Penny has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested and treated with Advantage.
She came to us as an unclaimed stray from LACC.
The adoption fee is $600 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.
**For puppies under 6 months a $200 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**
**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**
