Penn's Story

Penn was abandoned in our lobby, and our hearts are broken for him. This pocket pittie is clearly the result of irresponsible breeding, and he faces a life of suffering because of it. His dimensions are all wrong, his ears are crudely cropped, his skin is in terrible shape, he struggles to breathe, and he has growths on his paw pads and legs. And while we can only guess, it's likely he was used for breeding before he was brought to Animal Haven and walked out on, before our team could stop his former owner.

Despite everything, Penn wants only love. He greets everyone with a wiggly body and full-throated snorts, and will gladly crawl in a lap or roll over for belly rubs. He immediately stole the hearts of our veterinary team when he visited to have his paw and leg growths examined (we hope to have more information on that soon!). Aside from those issues, Penn is in remarkably good shape. His future family will need to manage his temperature and activity levels, since he is a brachycephalic breed, but will be repaid with an amazingly sweet and funny companion. Stop by or reach out to learn more about Penn!
