Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.<br/><br/>Meet Peeta! Peeta is approximately 4 years old and 38 lbs currently and he likely has some Mountain Cur in his mix. He was found as a stray at a gas station with an injured front paw and subsequently had to have his leg amputated. He then tested positive for heartworms. He has since recovered from his amputation and heartworm treatment! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could join households with kids 5+, and other dogs. No cats please!<br/><br/>His foster says, "Peeta is a sweet loving boy. He enjoys being loved on and his outdoor playtime. Having only three legs does not slow this boy down. Very active and playful."<br/><br/>He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on June 19.
