Pecan Pie's Story

COURTESY POST FOR RUSSELL RESCUE, COLUMBIA, TN

UPDATE: Sweet, little Pie is still waiting for her forever home. She’s recovered from all her surgeries and is doing so well on her potty training. She so wants to have a forever home where she can snuggle away the rest of her life and bring you the joy only a loving dog can bring. Please fill out an application for her and be that lucky someone who gets to spend all their time with her. ???

Hello Everyone. Let me introduce you to the very definition of sweetness and, of course, her name is Pie. Pie is a blind super-senior gal weighing approximately 10-12 pounds who has been neglected her entire life. She came to us with several enormous mammary tumors and was also in need of a spay and dental. But does she let any of that get her down? Absolutely not! Her spirit is unbroken, and she positively loves everyone and everything. It takes a few days, but she’ll learn to navigate around the house just fine. She loves being held and being near to her person. She’s also just the gentlest soul ever. Her two favorite things are her people and her food. Because Pie is blind and a senior, it’s best she goes with a very low energy family. Her ideal life would be sitting on the sofa or in the bed right next to you watching TV or reading a book. That’s definitely her happy place. Do you have a Pie shaped hole in your heart for this precious girl?
