Pecan's Story

Meet Pecan!
Pecan is a one-year-old, 15 lbs bundle of sweetness and energy. She was born in Korea, rescued from a city pound there, and is now safe in the USA, ready to find her forever family.

When rescued, Pecan was diagnosed with stage 1 heartworm, which is the mildest stage. She never showed symptoms, completed her treatment smoothly, and has since been tested twice—both negative. Today she is completely healthy, cleared by her vet, and enjoying her walks and playtime with no restrictions. She is also fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

Pecan is playful, affectionate, and a little foodie at heart (boiled chicken is her love language). She bonds quickly with women, takes a little more time with men, and does best with calm, gentle children. With other dogs, she’s friendly and playful, and she started show a little interest in cats for play time.

She’s crate-trained, walks nicely on leash after the first excited minutes, and is doing all her potty business outdoors . At home, she’s quiet, cuddly, and happiest when near her people. And when it’s playtime? Squeaky toys are her absolute favorite—she could play fetch with them all day long.

Pecan is ready for her forever family—one that will shower her with belly rubs, walks, squeaky toys, and plenty of tasty snacks.
