Pearl is a beautiful, silly, talkative, loving, and high energy 1-year-old pup! She enjoys going for walks and playing in the fenced backyard. If there is not a fenced yard, she will need to be on a leash as she loves to run and run and run! Also no apartments for this gal.

Pearl absolutely LOVES her humans but does need time to warm up to new folks. She recently stayed at Rio Gran and did fantastic with the staff. She tends to warm up more quickly to women, but once you gain her trust, you are one of her favorites. Slow introductions are the way to go with her, but if new guests arrive at the home and there is not time to do so, she is content to wait in her crate until the guests leave.

Pearl is crate-trained; however, because she is noisy while in her crate when she is bored, she should not live in an apartment or home with shared walls. 61-pound Pearl is also working on sharing her toys, but currently does not like it when they are taken away. Because of this, we are recommending that if there are any kids in the home, they be over the age of 12 and dog-savvy.

Pearl is not a candidate for dog parks since she is dog selective and too many dogs at once would be overwhelming for her and she may make bad choices. Pearl has done well with large male dogs that have the same high energy play style as her and let her be the boss. She has done wonderful with the two large male dogs in her foster home. She cannot go to a home with small dogs, cats, or small critters.

Pearl is an amazing pup and is learning to trust and enjoy life to the fullest. She cannot wait to find her forever home that will provide her the stability she craves, the space for exercise, and the love she deserves.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.

Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 90-mile radius of Minneapolis; however, we will consider up to 250 miles if the adopter is willing to drive to cities as needed.
