Peanut/Gwenieve Pomeranian & Chihuahua Mix Rumford, ME

Peanut is about 5 years old. She is a long haired chihuahua- possible Pomeranian mix. Peanut is up to date on vaccines and is spayed. She has no on going health issues, but does have bilateral luxtating patella’s (which is common in small breed dogs) She is good with other dogs and cats. We have not seen her with young children. She is a bit on the timid side and would do best in a quieter home with no children or older children. She is puppy pad trained.

Peanut first came to Fairy Tails in July of 2019 when she was just a year old after her owner passed away and no family members wanted her. ?

Peanut had been living in an unstable environment and was quite scared when she first arrived at her foster home. With time she came out of her shell and became a sweet loving dog. ?

Peanut was adopted in December 2019 to a very loving home and was renamed Gwenevive. Unfortunately her new mom recently passed away and Peanut ended up in a shelter scared, alone, and not knowing where her mom was. ?

Fortunately the shelter reached out to us and we were not hesitant to bring her back into the rescue. So we made the long drive to pick her up and bring her back to the original foster home she knew. ?

Peanut is now 5, a little whiter in the face and a little heavier. Her whole world has been turned upside down so we are giving her some time to decompress as we get to know her better again.

She is shy and timid at first, but once she is comfortable with you, you will see her affectionate, playful side. She loves attention and sitting in your lap or beside you on the couch. Peanut loves squeaky toys and chasing small balls. She can be fearful of dogs bigger than her, but DOES WELL WITH DOGS HER SIZE and with cats. She is cautious with kids and prefers older children that understand to be gentle.
