Peanut's Story

Hi! My name is Peanut, and I am a 3-month-old male German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees/Lab mix (according to my brother and sister’s dna tests!) with a charming personality that makes it nearly impossible not to fall in love with me. I was born as a stray with my siblings, but a kind Good Samaritan brought us to safety so we could grow up knowing comfort, care, and full bellies.

I’m the kind of puppy who wins hearts wherever I go. My foster family says I’m quite the little charmer — equal parts playful, affectionate, and full of personality. I absolutely love my toys and can often be found happily entertaining myself, tossing them around or settling in for a good chew session. After I’ve gotten my playtime in, I’m more than ready to trade the toys for some snuggles.

I do great with other dogs and love being around people. I’m already making wonderful progress with potty training and am at the perfect age to continue learning with a family who will guide me as I grow.

If you’re looking for a lovable pup with a magnetic personality, a playful streak, and plenty of affection to give, I might just be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt me here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic

*Disclaimer: Peanut is currently located in Texas and can be adopted either locally or out of state. We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure they arrive to the adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see the animals and ensure it’s a fit. We allow adoption fees to be paid via goods and services if desired to give our adopters extra security and protection.

Ruff Road Revival's Adoption Policy
The first step to the adoption process is filling out our adoption application online. We then do a vet check and check character reference, followed up by reaching out to the potential adopter to answer any questions they may have. If they are still interested at that point, we have the foster reach out to them so that they can get a better feel for if it is the right fit both for the adopter and for the animal. This also gives the potential adopter a chance to either set up a meet and greet with the animal if they are local or video chat with the animal to see their personality if they are out of state. If they are local, the next step would be a meet and greet and if that goes well, they would sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee and take the animal home. If they are out of state and decide to move forward with adoption, they will then sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We will schedule the transport and send all information to the potential adopter. The animal will receive a health certificate prior to transport and the adopter will be added to a group chat during the transport process.
