Peanut American Staffordshire Terrier & Border Collie Mix Houston, TX

A brother and sister joined our rescue on Christmas Eve after a fellow rescuer reached out to us about these two beautiful souls. They were found malnourished, dehydrated, and full of intestinal parasites. That's not the worst part - they had no choice but to scavenge for anything that could be food, which unfortunately included one of their siblings who had already passed.  They were about 10 weeks old when they joined but looked half that age due to such extremely poor health.  After a bath, some medicine, and lots of snuggles, these two started to perk up quickly and we named them Peanut and Brittle (Brit for short).  However, shortly after, their medical foster mom knew something was wrong and they were both taken back to the Veterinarian.  There they were found to be high positive for parvovirus so we immediately started treatment.  They stunned the doctors and were called the fastest parvo butt-kickers in Texas!  

Let's meet Peanut!  He fits his name quite well and his foster mom says he is truly an amazing cuddly smiley little peanut! He shows how he feels with his entire body, even his smile. He likes to be next to his human during adventures as he looks to them for security. Peanut wants to make his human happy. Cuddling is his love language and best quality! He gives all his love to his human, and you can feel all of him hugging you! He absolutely loves squeaky stuffed animals and balls. His personality makes you melt, and he is still growing. He has a little sideways run that is adorable and his appetite has picked up so much that his foster mom calls him her little chunker-munker!
