Paulina's Story

Pauline 🐾<br/><br/>Dogs like Pauline don't come around often! At three years old, she's got a large head on an adorably small body (just look at those tiny little legs) that makes her, without a doubt, one of the cutest dogs around. Be warned: you'll get stopped by everyone you pass wanting to know what breed she is — it's the price of walking around with the world's cutest dog.<br/><br/>Beyond her looks, Pauline is one of the most gentle, kind, and chill dogs out there. She loves nothing more than a good cuddle session, belly rubs, kisses, and of course a treat. She's low to medium energy and does great with both dogs and kids — she greets everyone with a wagging tail and a smile, making sure the whole room feels loved. She hasn't spent much time around cats, but given her sweet nature, she'd likely do just fine.<br/><br/>Pauline is potty trained and wee-wee pad trained, and with her easygoing, adaptable personality, she'd thrive in just about any type of home.<br/><br/>What her foster says about her:<br/>"Even more than just being cute, Pauline is the most gentle, kind, and chill dog I have ever met. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body — she truly is just 100% love. A dog with this pure of a heart, goofy of a personality, perfect manners and adorable looks doesn't come around often. Anyone who opens up their heart and home to this special girl will be getting their new best friend." <br/><br/>Paulina previously tested positive for Heartworm and was treated before coming up North!<br/><br/><br/><br/>INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?<br/>To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.<br/><br/>PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.<br/><br/>Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!

True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
