Meet Patty
This sweet old girl has sadly outlived her family. Her name is Patty and she loves everything. Except for ceiling fans. She will occasionally toss a few barks in their direction when one starts to spin. Ow a ow a owaaa. Ha. Even her bark has personality. Patty is entertaining and while her legs are not what they used to be (she was probably quite the athlete in her hay day) she still gets the zoomies after a bath and will chase the kitten around. Mostly though she follows her foster around the house and naps. She likes dogs and cats. Even respectful kids. She has a great appetite and loves treats. She seems healthy but she is also an old lady for sure. She has to potty more often then she once did and does have occasional accidents but if you let her out often she will do her business and be ready to go right back in. Patty deserves for the rest of her days to be filled with love and cuddles. If you always said you wanted to help a senior dog here is your chance. Give her a warm place to rest her head and she will show you everyday how grateful she is.
Adopters must live within a 100-mile radius of Joliet, IL to be considered. The adoption fee is $250. This covers all shots, spay/neutering and microchip.

Our adoption process typically takes from one to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalizing the adoption.
If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for up to 1 year and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
