Patches McGee Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix New Orleans, LA

Meet Patches McGee, the goofiest Catahoula you will ever meet. He is estimated to be around 2-years old and is full of life. Patches McGee came in to Take Paws Rescue very scared and nervous, but now he is blossoming into a fun, goofy boy! Patches McGee is still getting the hang of how to properly be a dog, but is getting there day by day! He loves to smile at you with his pearly whites, while doing his full body wiggles. Patches McGee loves to snuggle up on a rainy day and will watch all the movies or tv shows with you!

Patches McGee is still learning to master going on walks as he gets very scared. Patches is fully kennel trained, and fully potty trained! He is ready to find his forever home and to love on his forever family.

Patches McGee is full of life and spunk once he opens up. He just wants to follow you around the house and just be wherever you are!

He is up to date on all his vaccines, he sadly is heartworm positive, but has started treatment and his low key energy will make his recovery a breeze. He is not neutered at the moment because of his treatment but will be when it is done.

An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
