My name is Pastrami and I am a confident but sweet boy. I’m a friendly, outgoing guy looking for my new furever home. I came all the way from NYC. I am 5 years old and about 45 lbs. I know I’m handsome too. I must’ve done some “sidewalk time” because my leash skills are very good. When I get really excited I might use my mouth to play. I get along fantastic with other dogs- Both in day care and at home. New Yorkers can also be known as “tough guys”…..but I have a little secret. A hole in my tough guy persona is that morning snuggling is my absolute favorite. I just love people! the only person i really don't like it the vet, but there are plenty of ways for us to work through that. Pastrami is really settling in getting comfortable. I’ve learned he really likes people and could careless if other dogs are around. Total ladies man. He absolutely loves the car and going for rides. He had his first real day of daycare today and he did well with 80 other dogs!

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). Adoption donations are to be made via cash, check, and credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards.

Please remember to bring a collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption. Note: Martingale collars and slip leads are strongly recommended.

We typically have adoption events on Wednesday 5-7pm, Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday from noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.
