Party is a beautiful 8-yr old, 40# Border Collie. Her looks get your attention, but her heart is by far her best feature. A simple girl, Party enjoys time outside, sniffing around the yard. She is reliably housebroken and finds great comfort in her crate as a safe space. Her favorite pastimes are chewing on bones and peanut butter kongs. She knows her name well and has amazing recall, which makes for fun games in the yard.<br/><br/>Living with Party is easy because in a word, she’s lovely. She doesn’t ask for much and is happy to accommodate your schedule. She would make an excellent work-at-home supervisor or Netflix-watching companion when winter arrives. She enjoys being near her people and the comfort of a calm routine. She has solid dog manners, living comfortably with two males in her foster home.<br/><br/>Party is not a high-energy gal... she is content with a lower activity lifestyle. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t want exercise! Running zoomies around the yard is great fun. She’s learning to walk on leash and making progress. Unexpected noises can startle her, and she looks to her people for support. Families with shy dog experience would be a great fit. We think she would be ok with older, tenderhearted kids. She hasn’t met a cat to our knowledge.<br/><br/>Building trust with Party takes a little time, but it’s worth every minute. When her beautiful blue eyes look deeply into yours, it's easy to see she’s ready to give you her gentle heart. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.<br/><br/>Party's adoption fee is $350 + MN sales tax. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. All of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
