Meet Paprika
Hi, I'm Paprika! I was surrendered to a rural outdoor shelter with no cover from the cold...and I was the only dog there. I have striking blue eyes and love warm hugs and cuddles. Walks and car rides are so much fun. I' m great on a leash and in the car so if you take me to any social event, we will have a blast. I am kid, dog, and cat friendly. I've made so many new friends since my foster mom took me in and am excited to make more. I can't wait to meet you and I know you'll love me as much as I love you!
I am 1.5 years old and weigh in at 55 pounds. I'm spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on my vaccines.

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250
*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
