Panda Bear's Story

Panda Bear is a 1 and a half year-old, 78 lb guy who fits his name perfectly and has quickly become a shelter favorite.

Panda Bear was reportedly left at an apartment complex dog park for two days before someone called him in. Despite his rough start, he was incredibly friendly from the moment we met him and has been winning people over ever since.

He recently got to spend some time away from the shelter and absolutely crushed it. He was an excellent car rider, greeted everyone politely in public and was a total gentleman for his bath. He even got to enjoy some sunshine before heading inside for a very serious couch nap. In his foster home, he explored for a few minutes before curling up beside his volunteer and sleeping for over two hours.

Panda Bear loves toys, treats and attention. He knows sit, shake and takes treats so gently. He can be strong on leash when he's excited to get going, but settles down as he gets moving. He also appears to be house trained and had no accidents or marking in the home. He showed curiosity toward cats without reacting, though slow, supervised introductions would be important.

Panda Bear is a well-mannered boy who loves his people and would really benefit from a longer break from shelter life. He's ready for someone to give him a chance to be the couch-napping, attention-loving companion he's already proven he can be.

As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.

To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
