Palomo's Story

Palomo is a Parson Russell Terrier, who may be mixed with beagle. He is estimated to be 2-3 years old. He weighs 22 pounds. Palomo is a beagle-sized dog, with a white coat and brown coloring like a lemon beagle. He has a distinctive brown spot on the left side of his back, with brown ears.

We found Palomo in an overcrowded shelter down in the Central Valley. He continues to decompress after being in that environment. Palomo can be a little shy and uncertain at first, but that feeling changes soon after he becomes acquainted with someone. Underneath, Palomo is a sweet and loving, and well-behaved, dog. What Palomo most wants is to be close to someone, to snuggle and get pets, sit on a lap, or lean against someone and be held or petted. He has walked fine on a leash, but can be tentative about it at times, especially if going into a new place. His leash walking should continue to improve the longer he is out of the shelter.

Palomo is neutered, chipped, and has all of his shots. We are happy to have freed him from the shelter to give him the opportunity at a new life. He is a sweet guy looking for his person. Palomo does fine with other dogs, but also likely would do well as someone's only dog.

If interested, please contact Eva at 916-803-4935 or norcalbeagles@gmail.com.
