Pacific Chihuahua Mix Palatine, IL

Composers Rodgers and Hammerstein said it best in "South Pacific": ”There is nothing like a dame. Nothing in the world." True! I am Pacific: a beautiful female 10-month-old Chihuahua Mix just waiting to go home with you.

My foster mom describes me as a wiggly-butt, tail-wagging, funny, energetic, people-friendly, lovable little lady. I’d say that’s pretty gosh darn accurate!

I have so many good qualities: I’m housebroken and do well on a schedule; I walk well on leash, no pulling or tangling; I’m not crate trained because I can be trusted home alone; and I don’t chew or make a mess.

Foster Mom refers to me as her "cat" because I'm quick, agile and leap over things with ease. In fact, I cleared an 18" gate. How athletic am I?

I love to cuddle in your lap and cover your face with kisses. And belly rubs…good heavens I love belly rubs! TV is my favorite pastime with you. When you sit and relax, I’ll be curled right by your side.

I get along with everyone: the resident dogs in my foster home and children as well. I try to cover their faces with kisses but they aren't appreciating it. I don't play with their toys because toys don't interest me right now.  

I like to sit on my soft, fluffy pillow and look out the window as the world goes by.  And at night, I curl up quietly between my foster parents in bed.  

“There is nothing you can name that is anything like a dame.” I can prove it to you when you come to see me at the Adoption Show. The name’s Pacific. I’ll be watching for you.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must send an application or email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

The breed or breed mix listed for each dog is simply a guess. The profile software program requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
