Pachi Jack Russell Terrier & Papillon Mix San Ramon, CA

Meet Pachi! Pachi is an adorable 1.5 year old Jack Russell/Papillon mix. Although Pachi was born blind, that doesn’t stop him from being the happiest pup in the Bay Area as he brings smiles to everyone’s faces he meets! Whether it’s the dog beach or an open field of grass, he’s always smiling with his tongue out and his tail wagging. He hasn’t quite figured out how to walk on a leash yet but he can climb up the stairs, figure out a floor plan in less than a week, and easily make friends with large furry pups.

Like most of us in this last year during the pandemic, Pachi is resilient and a fighter. He began having seizures in Oct-Nov 2020 and with the help of the amazing Love and Second Chances community, we were able to get him an MRI where he was found to have an asymmetrical skull where his nasal bones meet. Per the vet and neurology team, Pachi will likely have seizures for the rest of his life however they are manageable with medication which can allow him to live a full and prosperous life. Although a seizure might be scary for most, Pachi always comes out of it giving you kisses and wagging his tail. He is a favorite at the vet as he is friendly with all humans and puppies he meets. He will lick your tears when you’re crying or sad, greet you when you come home, and cuddle with you after a long day at work. He is 100% potty trained using potty pads.

Pachi would do best in a home with a larger dog to help guide him within his home environment and a family who is able to provide the extra time and love he may need. He may take a few days to warm up to his new family and home but once he breaks out of his shell, he could provide the love and emotional support you didn’t know you needed. Pachi is waiting patiently for his forever home!
