Ozo & Malachi - Boston MA Foster

These two adorable, well-mannered ladies never imagined they'd be starting over... but after the heartbreaking loss of their owner, they now find themselves searching for a soft place to land for their golden years.

Malachi is currently around 25 lbs, 10.5 years old, and successfully working on her weight loss journey. Despite the extra pounds, this girl loves a good walk around the neighborhood and is excited by nature. When she's not walking, she could nap for hours on a comfy couch or a soft bed.

Orzo is currently around 20 lbs, 8.5 years old, and is an upbeat, medium energy dog who is always happy to go out for a walk, but, like her sister, enjoys a good nap. She is curious and sweet, and loves to roll around in the grass when she gets the chance.

There is truly something special about senior dogs. They don't ask for much--just a cozy spot, a gentle touch, and someone to love. In return, they bring a quiet kind of joy, gratitude, and companionship that's hard to put into words.

This pair has lived together for years and are pretty attached. After the loss of their owner, they're looking to continue living out their senior years together in a home. They are sweet, affectionate, and very loving dogs (who have made their fosters very happy), and they settle in easily.

They're house-trained, crate-trained, and walk well on leashes. They're fine with other dogs and good with all people, including children. One of them has chased a foster cat, but they've also successfully lived with cats in the past, so we recommend a dog-savvy cat with a proper introduction.

They both still have a lot of personality and life in them. If you're looking for dogs with a good balance of zest for life and go-with-the-flow attitude, these are your girls!

Name: Malachi & Ozo
Breed: Chihuahua/Crossbreed (Breed mix is not guaranteed-no DNA testing done).
Sex: Female
Age: Malachi 10 years (estimated) Orzo (estimated) 8 years
Weight: Malachi 25lbs Orzo 20 lbs
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Vaccinations: Up to date
Heartworm: Negative on recent testing
Microchipped: Yes

BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:
Good with Children: Over 12
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes ( dog savvy cats only)

Adoption Fee: $500 (for both dogs) (includes transport fee of $150 per dog )

Location of dog currently: New England

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
