Otto's Story

Otto, is a 1 1/2 year old, 60 pound, neutered male aussie mix that was adopted from ARM as a puppy (Tillie litter). His family sadly returned him to us due to him being completely stressed out by the toddler in the home.

Otto is housetrained, walks great on his head halter, has a great recall and is living with 7 other dogs and 4 cats in his foster home. This dog has had a lot of love, training and vet checks poured into him in his life in an attempt to make it work for his family. In his foster home he is exuberant, loud and bouncy until he had had a half hour of off leash running and then he is calm, quiet and flat on the floor sleeping for most of the day.

The details:

Need fence: Not in right environment

Good with dogs: Yes, with dogs he knows

Good with cats: yes, those that don't run

Good with kids: not young kids, possibly older kids

All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family.
