Ottawa's Story
Ottawa has very soulful eyes. He came to us injured and not putting weight on his back leg. Whatever happened seemed to have healed enough that he is walking normal. Ottawa was dirty but not starved like a lot of dogs we see. He obeyed commands but it took just the right treat (fancy chicken jerky) to get him to accept his reward. Ottawa has nice medium energy for his breed. We would love to see him bathed and fluffy in a loving home.

Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).

We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

A303045
