Oso's Story

Meet Oso!

At just 10 weeks old, Oso is already living up to his name — this Boerboel/Doberman mix is a chunky, confident, curious puppy who is going to grow into a VERY big, powerful dog. He’s currently soaking up the world like a sponge and learning all the important puppy basics every future gentle giant needs.

Oso is playful, people-oriented, and loves attention, but he’s also a working-breed mix that will require structure, guidance, and consistency as he matures. He won’t stay small for long — we expect him to become a large, strong adult, so his future family must be prepared for training, socialization, and leadership from day one.

Medical note: Oso has possible minor elbow dysplasia in his left elbow. It is not currently noticeable, does not affect his activity, and no treatment is needed at this time — just normal monitoring as he grows.

He will be neutered soon, is current on age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped.

Oso’s ideal home:
• Experienced large/guardian breed owners ONLY
• Committed to training and continued socialization
• Prepared for a big, powerful adult dog
• No first-time dog owners

Oso has all the potential to become an incredibly loyal, devoted companion in the right hands — he just needs a home ready to invest the time and leadership he deserves.

If you’re ready for a lifelong best friend in a very big package, Oso might be your boy.

If interested in Oso please fill out the adoption app on our website www.muttsinarutrescue.com
