Meet Oso! <br/>Oso is a 2-year-old Shar Pei/Mastiff mix who was found as a stray and never reclaimed. <br/><br/>Staff describe Oso as a sweet, friendly dog who enjoys being around people and loves attention. He is easy to handle, allows all handling, and is always happy to soak up affection from his favorite humans. His gentle and loving personality makes him a joy to spend time with.<br/><br/>Oso recently underwent entropion surgery with our medical team and is currently recovering well. His future family should be prepared to continue following any post-surgical care recommendations to help him heal comfortably.<br/><br/>While Oso has a sweet disposition, he is a large and powerful dog who will do best with an adopter who can confidently manage his strength and continue working on good leash manners and basic training.<br/><br/>Around other dogs, Oso has shown friendly interest and positive curiosity. As always, we recommend a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to ensure a good fit

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control's Adoption Policy
City of Henderson Animal Care and Control does require an adoption application to be completed prior to adoption. The information includes your name, address, phone number, and email. Please return application in person. No online adoptions. All current dogs/cats must be sterilized and current on rabies to adopt from our shelter. Anyone can adopt from the shelter, not just Henderson residents. The shelter does reserve the right to deny an adoption if the potential adopter fails to meet standards. Adoption fees. Kittens (6 month and younger) $100 Cats $85 Puppies (6 month and younger) $150 Dogs under 30 pounds $125 Dogs over 30 pounds $100 Rabbits $40 These fees include the routine vaccines, spay or neuter surgery if not already done, microchip ID and registration, and a rabies tag or Henderson License (depending on where you live).
