Oshe's Story

Oshe is a victim of black dog syndrome and large dog syndrome- that's the only explanation we can give as to why he has not yet been adopted. He's a beautiful, happy, friendly guy weighing around 70 lbs. He's here in Maine, in foster, and literally charms everyone he meets, even some of the saltier dogs in his foster home. His foster says: "Oshe is here in Maine and looking for his forever home. He is in a foster home with several other dogs and does great with them, he sometimes doesn’t realize how big he is when playing with smaller dogs so would do best with medium-large dogs (40+ pounds). Oshe loves water, playing fetch with stuffed toys, rolling in the grass and hanging out with his people. He has normal young adult lab energy, not overwhelming but will need regular exercise." Oshe initially did well with the cats in his foster home, but now is attempting to play with them and isn't aware of the size difference so, out of caution, we recommend he go to a home without cats. He's great with kids but might knock down smaller kids with his exuberance, so we recommend kids over the age of five. If you love Labs that are goofy, playful, silly, and just happy go lucky on the daily, Oshe is your man.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Oshe or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Oshe is from Rescue Charlie's Friends

[Woolwich, ME]

Our Mission
Hi, I’m Charlie. This dog rescue organization is named after me. My sister and I were in cages, sleeping on a cold concrete floor and getting lousy food. It was crowded, dirty, very scary and they had to make room because more dogs were coming. If we hadn’t been rescued, things would not have ended well for us. Some...
