Oscar's Story

Oscar’s a 6yo 14lb Yorkie. He’s dog and kid 14+ friendly. He chases cats. He’s house and crate trained. He’s good in a secure fenced yard and going on harnessed leashed walks. He likes to play with chew toys, other dogs and cuddle on the couch with his people. He can be lively, alert and doesn’t miss anything but can also chill with his people or another dog. He likes going on car rides and is well behaved. He can get barky with noises and when left alone. He is food motivated so is best to feed separated from other dogs and use a slow feeder.

Oscar’s foster requires a single, family home with another small friendly dog, be allowed on furniture to cuddle along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Oscar as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Oscar’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phoenixville, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
