Oscar's Story

Oscar is a 4 yr old black tri with striking blue eyes. He's estimated to weigh 30 lbs and is classified as a mini. Oscar was adopted out from ARM last year and is being returned to rescue after his family experienced a personal tragedy and have determined that they can not meet his needs due to unforeseen circumstances (no fault of Oscar). As a result, Oscar finds himself looking for a new home.

He has been noted to be a sweet boy with lots of energy. He is good with other dogs, showing no food aggression with them around or towards people. He does have some recall, though if he were to be living in more urban settings, a fence would likely be best. He is also a bit of a noisy boy, barking at unknown stimuli, so apartment living would not be ideal for him.

He is housebroken, going to the door when he needs to go outside and will bark when he's ready to come back in.

Oscar has lots of love to give and he is well deserving of a family that can give him the love and stability that he’s seeking.

The details:

Needs fence: If rural, no; if urban, recommended

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with cats: Unknown, no current exposure

Good with kids: So far yes

All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family.
