Oscar's Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com

Oscar is a 7-year-old, 9-pound Shih Tzu mix with a heart just as soft as his fluffy coat. This little guy is the definition of a Velcro dog — wherever you go, Oscar will happily follow. If you sit down, he’ll be right there beside you…or better yet, in your lap. Oscar is good with dogs and kids and hasn’t met cats yet. He is crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. He’s currently working hard on his potty training and making great progress with consistency and routine.

Don’t expect him to chase toys — Oscar’s favorite activity is simply being close to his person. He knows “sit,” but what he really excels at is cuddling. Whether it’s on the couch, on the floor, or under a cozy blanket, Oscar just wants to be near you. One thing to know about this sweet boy: he absolutely despises the cold. Sweaters, warm laps, heated blankets — these are Oscar’s love languages. A home that keeps him warm and snuggled will be his happy place.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.

MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit.

Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. After May 1st the cost of your first session will be a discounted rate of $100.

For more information about training offered by MBR Farm please visit http://www.mbrfarm.com

Age: 7 years

Adoption Fee: $350
